2-Year-Old Goes Missing For Days; Man Opens Door And Realises Pit Bull Had The Little Girl.

Charlee Campbell, 2, and her dog Penny went missing in Lebanon Junction for almost 2 days before emerging from the woods.

While Charlee has returned home safely, the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office is still seeking answers.

Charlee’s grandmother, Beth Campbell, expressed her amazement that her granddaughter, who lives with her, is still alive.

“When they informed me they’d discovered Mo, Charlee, I was simply beyond of myself. “I was just so happy,” she explained.

Petting Penny, Beth said, “This is our hero right here,” and she believes Penny was by Charlee’s side the entire time she was missing.

“When my dog did not come home, and my baby was not home, she was not going to leave that baby until she got here,” she told me about her pit bull.

According to law enforcement officials, Penny returned home soon before Charlee was discovered several hundred yards away at a neighbour’s house.

“I can’t even explain how happy that I’m that this baby is home, because I love her more than anything in this world,” Beth blurted out.

Wayne Brown, who discovered Charlee, reported that he was praying for the young child when he noticed a blonde-haired girl in his backyard.

Brown felt the joyous reunion in a number of ways.

When he said, “My little brother went missing,” “He had climbed three fences and gone off from the house. Miles from the house, they discovered him. He was actually dead when my uncle discovered him.

Brown located Charlee, gave her water, and dialed 911. But he still has unanswered questions.

They’ve been all over. They have searched everywhere, so how come they haven’t found this child? She simply appears where they have searched. “How does that occur?” he enquired.
