Dominick Krankall, a 6-year-old Bridgeport, Connecticut kid, was heading downstairs to play like his bullies brutally attacked him every other day.
Because of a severe attack, he suffered on Sunday, Dominick Krankall’s torso is mostly swollen. Dominick’s older sister, Kayla Deegan, claims that her younger brother was playing with other children who live below their house in their backyard.
“As soon as he got down the steps, the bully screamed his name and enticed him over around the corner, and in a matter of seconds, he rushed back around the corner screaming, saying, ‘Mommy, they lit me on fire,'” Kayla recalls the fateful day.
According to the victim’s family, Dominick’s bully is supposedly their 8-year-old neighbor, who has a history of bullying the 6-year-old youngster. Dominick’s family suspects his attacker gained access to gasoline and lighters from a shed on the property. He summoned an unsuspecting Dominick after securing these materials.
“What he did was pour gasoline on a tennis ball, fire a lighter, and throw it directly in my brother’s face — and then run away and watch him burn,” Kayla Deegan said.
Dominick was taken to Bridgeport Hospital shortly after his incident, just before 4 p.m. Police said they’re looking into an allegation of four unattended juveniles playing with gasoline and setting things on fire in the vicinity.
Dominick is expected to make a full recovery, according to medical personnel at the hospital where he is being treated. The 6-year-family, old’s though, is dissatisfied. They’re furious with the bully and his family, claiming that this isn’t the first time the 8-year-old bully has had to take Dominick to the hospital.
Dominick’s sister claims that the bully had previously attacked him roughly two months ago. The youngsters were being watched after by their next-door neighbor, the bully’s mother, at the time of the occurrence!
“He was pushed into a wall and collapsed to the floor two months ago under the supervision of the bully’s mother. “And the mother again refuses to admit her child did it,” Dominick’s older sister Kayla Deegan said.
The event is still being investigated, but no charges have been filed. Dominick’s family is hoping for justice and wants to spread the word about his case so that someone can take action.
The family has also started a GoFundMe page to aid with the hospital bills associated with Dominick’s injuries and assist the family with relocating. Dominick’s sister conveyed the terrible details of Dominick’s attack and the following condition in the information about the fundraiser.
Dominick’s sister Kayla Deegan stated on the GoFundMe website that, even though communicating is difficult for the 6-year-old, he urged his mother, “Please don’t take me back there,” referring to their home.
Because of his swollen lips and burned face, the 6-year-old could scarcely speak or eat, she said. The family is heartbroken at observing the vibrant child in such agony and not being able to do anything to help.
The bully’s family, according to Kayla, is treating the alleged attack as a “joke” and believes the 8-year-old is innocent. Dominick’s mother wrote on Facebook that while investigators were at their house, their neighbors, whose son was allegedly implicated in the attack, were “burning lighters” in their windows and laughing at the whole ordeal.
What happened to Dominick is heartbreaking, and it reminds us that bullying must be eradicated.
Please help us spread the news about Dominick’s attack so that no other youngster suffers the same fate.
