Dear God, On Thanksgiving Day, We Bow Our Hearts To You

Dear God, on Thanksgiving Day,
we bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You’ve
done, especially for the gift of Life,
For beauty in nature, Your glory we
see, for joy and health, friends, and
family. For daily provision, Your mercy
and care, these are the blessings You
graciously share. So today we Offer
this response of praise with a promise
to follow you for all of your days.
Mary Fairchild

Thanksgiving Day
is a jewel, to set in the
hearts of honest men;
but be careful that you
do not take the day, and
leave out the gratitude.
E.P. Powell

“When you arise in the
morning give thanks for
the food and for the joy
of living. If you see no
reason for giving thanks,
the fault lies only in yourself.”

How wonderful it would be
if we could help our children
and grandchildren to learn
thanksgiving at an early
age. Thanksgiving opens
the doors. It changes a
child’s personality. A child
is resentful, negative, or
thankful. Thankful children
want to give, they radiate
happiness, they draw people.
