Donald Trump hinted at sending American forces to take over Greenland

Trump was inaugurated on January 20 in front of his family, previous presidents, and internet billionaires, and his first week back in the Oval Office was eventful, to say the least.

Including a rather ‘horrendous’ phone conversation to Mette Frederiksen last week.

The 78 year-old was involved in a 45-minute heated discussion with the Danish leader, offering to buy Greenland.

Before returning to the White House, Trump discussed purchasing the self-governing country, going so far as to suggest it was a ‘essential necessity’.

“The United States of America believes that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity for purposes of National Security and freedom throughout the World,” he shared with Truth Social.

“Greenland is an amazing location. If and when it joins our country, the people will gain a great deal. We shall adore it and keep it safe from the harsh outside world.

“GREENLAND MUST BE GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump continued to scold Frederiksen despite Greenland officials having made it “very clear” that the land was not for sale.

Danish officials describe the phone call as “horrendous, aggressive, and ferocious,” according to the Financial Times.

One person stated: “He was very firm,” and “It was a cold shower.” Previously, it was difficult to take seriously. But I believe it is significant, and perhaps quite hazardous.”

“People don’t really know if Denmark has any legal right to it,” Trump told reporters. “But if they do, they must give it up because we require it for national security—that is for the free world. I’m talking about safeguarding the free globe.

“You don’t even need binoculars; look outside, and you’ll see China and ships all over the place. You see Russian ships all over the place. We won’t let it happen.”

Another stated, “The purpose was extremely apparent. They want it. “The Danes are currently in crisis mode.”

Greenland’s prime minister, Mute Egede, has stated that the island is not for sale and would remain such in the future.

Aaja Chemnitz, a politician, concurred, adding, “I think some people find it quite disrespectful,” “and the way it has been done, and just the fact that you’re saying you can buy another country.”

Now, Trump has gone a step further, suggesting that he is prepared to send American soldiers to seize control of Greenland.

During a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump stated, “I believe it will happen,” adding, “We really needed it for national security.” That, I believe, is why NATO may need to intervene in any case.

‘We already have a few bases in Greenland and a large number of soldiers. ‘Maybe you’ll see more military go there,’ he warned. ‘We have bases and quite a few military in Greenland.’

To make matters worse, Anders Vistisen, a Danish member of the European Parliament, ordered Trump to ‘f**k off’ while discussing the situation.

Vistisen, who leads the right-wing populist Danish People’s Party, stated, “Dear President Trump, please listen attentively. Greenland has been part of Denmark’s monarchy for 800 years. It is an integral component of our country.

“It’s not for sale.

“Let me explain it in language you can comprehend. Mr. Trump: “F**k off.”
