Husband laments the death of his wife in a vehicle accident while celebrates the birth of a kid who survived.

Samantha Russell died in a car accident a year ago on July 6th, after a 37-year-old man attempted to avoid police and led them on a chase through Wichita, Kansas.

The soon-to-be mother, 22, was rushed to the hospital, succumbing to her injuries.

Her unborn kid, thankfully, survived.

Brandon, the child’s father and Samantha’s husband, posted an emotional statement on Facebook honouring his wife and celebrating the couple’s son’s birth.

“Words cannot depict the feelings running through everyone’s heads today due to the events that occurred on July 6th, 2021, at around 5:30 p.m. CST. He stated, “Sammy was taken from us, yet he left us with the most wonderful gift of life.”

“She was tenacious and the toughest worker I’d ever met. When I had a problem or needed assistance, she ALWAYS knew what to say.”

Brandon stated, “She was an all-around nice girl who did not deserve to be killed by a careless driver.”

He also advised everyone to take the time to tell those who matter to them how much they mean to them because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

The robbery suspect who was responsible for Samantha’s death has been apprehended. First-degree murder in the commission of a felony, aggravated battery, and criminal possession of a firearm have all been filed against Javan Jermaine Ervin.

Brandon has a GoFundMe page set up to aid him.

This small baby boy’s survival is a miracle. I know he will be adored by many, but the fact that his mother will not be present crushes my heart.
